China-EU Industry Forum on Chemical Substitution
In 2013, China’s 12th Five-Year Plan for Chemical Environmental Risk Prevention & Control has
raised that (the nation) will legislatively eliminate the chemicals with high toxicity, high
persistence and high environmentally hazard. An Elimination Substance List and a National
Encouraging List will be published and updated periodically.” With “Chemical Substitution”
being a significant method to reduce the environmental, occupational and public health risks of
hazardous chemicals, practical substitution methodology and safer alternatives availability are
topics of interest for both industry and the government.
China-EU Industry Forum on Chemical Substitution will be taking place in the City of HangZhou
in Zhejiang Province, on 2013 Mar. 25th. The forum, hosted by Greenpeace and ChemSec, is
mainly focused on chemical substitution to provide an information sharing platform on safe
alternatives of hazardous chemicals for the industries. Stakeholders related to this topic are
welcome to participate. Details are as follows:

The registrants are required to pre-pay a total of 200 RMB/ person (including lunch and two teabreaks) to the Zhijiang Hotel upon sending out the registration form to Greenpeace. Invoices will
be provided upon the registration day.
Please arrange the accommodation and commute yourself. If you plan to stay at Zhijiang Hotel,
a special room rate will be provided. (see below)
