I have worked under the general direction of the Emergency/Trauma Services Director,
as the Trauma Program Nurse Coordinator assisting and coordinating appropriate
emergent care for the trauma patients. Having the authority to assign other nurses to
patients, based on the Charge Nurse’s assessment of the various patients’ needs and
nurse’s abilities. Provides on-going assessment of care provided to all trauma patients
by participating in Performance Improvement activities and Case Management.
Provides professional nursing care within the Emergency Department and coordinates
care planning with other disciplines. I have 36 years’ experience in the healthcare field
with fifteen years’ experience as an emergency room nurse working in urgent and high
patient volume settings.
