POSITION : SPECIALIST: OD INTERVENTIONS & GROUP DYNAMICS DIVISION : HUMAN CAPITAL SERVICES JOB TITLE : SPECIALIST: OD INTERVENTIONS & GROUP DYNAMICS REPORT LINE : GENERAL MANAGER: ORGANIZATION DEVELOPMENT SCALE CODE : 130 MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION To provide OD Intervention management services and improve business work teams functioning and productivity KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Manage and coordinate OD Interventions Provide management advisory services on OD Interventions Stakeholder Engagement & Management Manage resources in the section (Human, Finance, Equipment) Develop intervention programmes to enhance the internal and external employer brand of the corporation Ensure Organizational effectiveness Implement and manage Organization Development Intervention processes, initiatives, procedures in line with business strategic priorities, through ensuring organisational effectiveness of people management and engagement processes to minimise group conflict and organization conflict. Diagnose and design organization interventions to address group dynamics, group conflict and organization conflict. Manage the diagnosis of the organizational culture and climate to enhance service delivery and foster a healthy organization internal environment Manage, Drive and co-ordinate all OD Interventions to enable and faster , resolve, adoption, greater ultimate utilization and higher improvement of work teams interaction impacting employees in the organization to maximize service delivery. Design tools for monitoring and assessing of the impact of OD interventions Ensure that various regulatory and legislative requirements are adhered to and aligned to the strategy of the business in implementing OD Interventions Provide management advisory services on OD Interventions Lead and guide proactively and visibly coach HRBP to support management in addressing group dynamics and conflict management Provide training to HRBP to facilitate OD interventions on group dynamics and conflict Management Manage the development, review of policies, procedure manuals tools in support of OD interventions Provide support and advisory service on the development of a healthy , conducive organizational internal working environment (climate) Stakeholder Engagement & Management Develop and Implementation work happiness programmes to address work team morale, organization wide staff morale Conduct organisational research, analysis and diagnosis for the purposes of monitoring the organisational internal working environment improvement and enhancing the internal employer brand Consult with SABC Business units to advise on various OD Intervention programmes Ensure Organization Development Programmes Action plans on employee resocialization, psychological contracting and employee branding are in place Set behavioural standards for the SABC and facilitate assimilation of desired organizational behaviour Develop and co-ordinate implementation of employee engagement model Manage resources in the section (Human, Finance, Equipment) Proper implementation of budget by monitoring, projecting and reporting expenditure. Ensure spending maximized in line with strategic objectives. Monitor the optimal utilization and functionality of equipment. Evaluate and monitor performance of work teams to ensure achievement of SubDirectorate strategic goal. Develop intervention programmes to enhance the internal and external employer brand of the corporation Develop and implement human resource interventions to enhance a positive personnel morale, productivity and a conducive work environment Effectively manage and advise on group dynamics and as business processes and strategies evolve as well as ensure the development and implementation of appropriate strategies to facilitate the realization of the organizations’ desired outcomes/culture Ensure Organizational effectiveness Analyse existing work behavioural patterns, procedures and methods with the view to improve work teams efficiency, effectiveness Train and coach managers on specific issues relating to problems experienced Empower them with techniques/skills on how to identify and resolve future problems Manage costs and budgets Prepare and submit accurate operational and capital budget for approval Manage and control expenditure QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Appropriate qualification at NQF level 7 in Organizational Behavioural Sciences / Industrial Psychology or equivalent as well as a sound understanding of Human Resources Management Minimum 6 years within Organization Development and or Industrial psychology Minimum 3 middle management position Sound Knowledge of the OD Consulting process Master’s Degree in Industrial Psychology and registration with HPCSA Legislation Organization development Group facilitation skills Project Management Labour Statute Training Registration with the HPCSA Sound knowledge of the relevant legislation applicable to broad HR legislation Preference will be given to candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act and the SABC’s Employment Equity initiatives.
