Indian Rare Earths Limited (IREL) a Central Public Sector Undertaking under the
administrative control of the Department of Atomic Energy, Govt of India is the industry
leader in the area of Beach Sand Minerals like Ilmenite and Rutile (titanium ores),
Zircon, Monazite, Sillimanite etc. and producer of rare earth (Lanthanides) chemicals,
Thorium Nitrate etc. IREL, Chavara invites applications from proactive personnel for the
following position.

recognized University with minimum 5 years post
qualification working experience in the analytical
field.
d) Scale of Pay
Rs. 9250-3%-26030 (W8). Thepay scale isunder
revision. Total salary at the minimum of the scale of
pay is Rs.15707/- (approx.)
e) Upper age limit
Upper age limit as on 01.12.2013 is 35 years.
The upper age limit will be relaxed by 3 years
for OBC (Non Creamy Layer), 5 years for SC/ST
and 10 years for PWD. Age relaxation for ExServicemen willbe as per the Govt. directives.
GENERAL CONDITIONS:
1. Only Indian Nationals need to apply. Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria
prescribed for the post need only apply.
2. Persons who have resigned/discharged from Indian Rare Earths Limited will not be
eligible to apply. Candidates who have left the service after availing Voluntary
Retirement from Government Companies including Indian Rare Earths Limited will
not be eligible to apply.
3. Forwarding of applications of candidates from Government and Public Sector
Undertakings:
a) Persons employed in State Govt / Central Govt / Semi Govt / Autonomous
Bodies / State of Central PSUs shall in the normal course forward their
applications through proper channel or should produce NOC at the time of test /
interview otherwise they will not be entitled for the benefits of carry forward of
past service benefits.
b) Notwithstanding to the above,in case the selected candidates is in a position to
submit a consent letter/NOC from his/her previous employer with respect to
transfer of service benefits, even afterwards, he/she shall be entitled for the
same on joining IREL.
c) In the event of selection, all such candidates will be allowed to join IREL only on
production of proper relieving order from their previous employer.
4. Merely meeting the above qualifications and experience shall not entitle a candidate
to be called for test / interview. Only short-listed candidates will be called for Test
and/or interview.
5. Depending on the requirements, the Company reserves the right to cancel/increase
the number of posts without any further notice and without assigning any reason
thereof.
6. Age and experience are to be counted as on 01.12.2013.
7. Candidates having working knowledge of Malayalam is desirable.
8. Before applying for the post, the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfills the
eligibility and other norms mentioned in the Advertisement. In case it is detected at
any stage of recruitment that a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility norms and/or
has furnished any incorrect / false information or has suppressed any material facts,
his/her candidature will stand cancelled. If any shortcoming(s) is/are detected even
after appointment, his services are liable to be terminated.
9. Names of eligible candidates for test / interview will be intimated by post.
10. Though the appointment being made is for posting at IREL, Chavara, the selected
candidates are liable to be transferred / posted to any of the units of IREL anywhere
in India depending upon the requirement of the IREL.

purpose.
c. All instructions as given on the IREL Website must be adhered to, failing which, the
applicant will be disqualified for the post.
d. The envelope should be superscribedwith “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF
CHEMIST (A) IN IREL, CHAVARA”
e. Candidates are required to produce all certificates in original at the time of interview.
f.
