Application Process for the LPN and RN Programs at Danville Community College Application must be completed and submitted to the Nursing Department no later than February 26, 2016. A complete application includes: an official high school transcript or GED, official transcript from any college attended outside of the VCCS system. unofficial transcript must be submitted for any college within the VCCS system, including DCC. The student should print their own unofficial transcript for colleges within the VCCS. results from the TEAS V exam – must be submitted electronically to DCC by ATI The TEAS V examination is a mandatory portion of the selection process. This nursing entrance test will assess reading, mathematics science, and English language usage. There is a fee for testing. Students must pay for the exam at the time of registration. To register go to https://www.atitesting.com . You may take this test at any location that has a convenient date and time for you. DCC will offer the test on campus in the LAC but there are limited seats available so please register early to ensure the time you would like to test. This test is a part of the application process. There are testing resources available on the ATI website. If you have questions regarding the test, contact ATI. The TEAS V test must be taken and the scores received at DCC via ATI no later than February 29, 2016. The cost of testing at DCC is $86, paid electronically to ATI when registering for the test. DCC will offer the test in the LAC as follows: January 29 January 30 1 – 5 pm 8 – Noon or 1 – 5 pm February 19 February 20 1 – 5 pm 8 – Noon or 1 – 5 pm If you have taken the TEAS V within the past two years, you may request that ATI send your transcript to DCC through your account at ATI for a cost of approximately $25. Scholarships Several scholarships are available specific to nursing. Among those are the Silverman and Zechman Awards. The Ruth Williams Cancer Scholarship is available to a cancer survivor. The DRMC Scholar awards are for RN students that have an interest in working at DRMC for every year of award. Other scholarships are available. Prerequisites for the PN Program include ENG 111, BIO 141, BIO 142, and MTH 126. Due to limited seats, all applicants are not guaranteed acceptance into the program even if all prerequisites have been met.
