ws… Where women and children experience hope and opportunities for restoration, transformation and reconciliation. News from Jacob’s Well jacobswellproject.com Beauty for Ashes… To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified. ~ Isaiah 61:3 Water from the Well… There are so many ways to pour into the lives of single mothers and their children. We invite you to come and see firsthand the wonderful things happening here at Jacob’s Well. Throughout the past couple of years there have been over 1000 volunteers bringing about the transformation of a forgotten, beloved elementary school in Utica Indiana. The original school built in 1873 was deteriorating and doomed for destruction…but God had a different plan. A plan to turn it into a beautiful home for single mothers and their children longing to be restored from the ashes of broken lives to the beauty of wholeness through a relationship with Jesus Christ. Join us for a tour and time for Q&A. We will provide a light lunch and have you on your way in an hour. Our previous benefit dinners, private donors and monthly supporters have provided funding needed for the restoration of the building and operations allowing us to open our doors to two single mothers in February of 2014. Thank you! The next “Water from the Well” is Wednesday, September 24th @ Noon. RSVP is required. Call 812-288-8870 or send an email to barbaraw@jacobswellproject.com. Hope Flows from the Well… My prayer entering Jacob’s Well was that God would mend my heart, my spirit, and that I would learn to love again. I have been given the opportunity to truly learn and experience the beauty of God’s love and mercy. I have been filled with courage to face and defeat my fears. I am learning to plant new dreams and to hope again. I have been provided the love, friendships and skills that I need to live a joyful and productive life. To be the very best ME that I can be. God is using JW to do a new and unique thing in my life that I will forever be grateful for. Each new day I’m being shown that He can make something beautiful out of ashes. ~ M Annual Benefit Dinner / Thursday, November 6th 7:00 – 9:00 PM (Tour of center 6:30 PM) Each year we host a benefit dinner to help support our operations and continued renovations to serve the single mother families who come to Jacob’s Well searching for hope for a new beginning.
