2016 IMPACT AWARDS Call for Nominations On March 16, 2016, Chicago Foundation for Women will celebrate five Chicago-area women and men for their dedication to increasing resources and opportunities for women and girls in the Chicago area. BACKGROUND Chicago Foundation for Women raises money to fund and support organizations that help women and girls— it’s all about making smarter connections between need, money and solutions. We believe that when women and girls are secure, whole communities are made better. We improve the lives of women and girls through grants, advocacy, leadership development, and public and grantee education. Since 1985, we have given more than 3,000 grants totaling nearly $26 million. Read more at www.cfw.org. In 2015, CFW launched The 100% Project, an all-out, all-in coordinated effort to increase economic security and put an end to gender bias by 2030. After hosting a series of salons with more than 500 Chicagoans, CFW learned bias continues to gravely impact women and girls’ access to opportunity and advancement. The 100% Project stands out from similar initiatives in that it reaches across sectors for partnership and collaboration. Everyone, at every level has a role. Learn more at www.cfw.org/100-percent.
