To make them aware about their role and
responsibilities
under
the
Khyber 
Pakhtunkhwa RTI Act, 2013 training
workshops for Public Information Officers of
various public bodies have already been
conducted at the Divisional Headquarter’s of
the province including D.I.Khan, Kohat,
Peshawar, Mardan, Abbottabad and
Mansehra.
The Commission published pamphlets
25000 each both in urdu and English and is
planning distribution to targeted population
for awareness on RTI Law in the Province.
The Commission has prepared two booklets,
required under the law, one each for citizen
guidance and for PIOs to understand their
roles and responsibilities under the KP RTI
Act, 2013.
The KP RTI Commission launched its website
(www.kprti.gov.pk) on 25th July 2014 for
vibrant communication between the public
and the commission and so far 478,226 visits
have been made, (as per data till March 24,
2015) to the website including global
visitors.
The KP RTI Commission is set to launch a
web portal soon that could be accessed from
the Commission website through a link,
wherein public can: submit online RTI
request to PIO of concerned department,
submit complaint with the KP RTI
Commission. The web portal will enable
every
citizen
to
check
his/her
request/complaint status online.

Federal Govt has handed over two courts in
Hayatabad through PWD.

assumed their duties on 27.8.2014 and
convened four meetings in the Directorate

A revised PC-I has been approved the PDWP
for extension in tenure of PMU- Ehtesab
Commission for another six month period till
March 31, 2015. Now the PDWP extended
the tenure of PMU till 30th June, 2015.

Framed Draft Ehtesab Commission Rules,
2014 have been forwarded to Law
Department for legal vetting. The rules have

Draft Anti-Corruption strategy the first ever
in the history of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has

their inputs and is being refined, then the
same will be placed before cabinet for
approval.
Amendment in the Ehtesab Commission Act
has been made under which the Ehtesab
Commission can now take-up cases dating
back to 2004.
Departments of HR, IT, Internal and External
Audit and Prosecution functional with the
exceptional of Investigation Wing which is
being headed by Director HR on temporary
basis.

The Provincial Assembly of Khyber 

16 Sep, 2013. The idea behind the
establishment of KPPRA is to create an
autonomous body capable of providing legal
and regulatory framework to provincial
departments and other public entities/
organizations for procurement. The
overarching goal of KPPRA is to improve
governance, management, transparency,
accountability and quality of public
procurement of goods, works and services.
