POLAR WEBSYNC FOR POLARGOFIT.COM
USERS
With Polar WebSync 2.2 (or newer) software and Polar FlowLink data transfer unit you can transfer data
between Polar Active activity monitor and polargofit.com web service.
You cannot have WebSync 1.x.x and WebSync 2.x installed on the same computer.
DATA TRANSFER
To transfer data between an activity monitor and polargofit.com, make sure you have the following
available:

polargofit.com user credentials, -Your log in and password

a Polar FlowLink data transfer unit, and

the Polar WebSync software (version 2.4 or newer).
You can download WebSync at www.polar.fi/support. To install WebSync, download the installer, run
it and follow the instructions on the screen.
To start the data transfer, place an activity monitor on the FlowLink with the display facing down. When
the activity monitor is aligned correctly, the Align light is lit on the FlowLink.
When the activity monitor is detected and the WebSync is running, the WebSync prompts for
polargofit.com user credentials. The WebSync icon
(OS X) simultaneously.
turns green in the task bar (Windows) / menu bar
Use data transfer to:

register activity monitors to the polargofit.com web service,

assign activity monitors to students when creating courses, and

download activity data from the activity monitor to polargofit.com.
Depending on what kind of data is transferred, the needed actions vary. See the table below for
reference.

WORKING WITH SEVERAL ACTIVITY MONITORS: WHEN WEBSYNC CONFIRMS WITH A
GREEN TICK THAT THE ACTIVITY MONITOR IS OKAY, LEAVE THE SOFTWARE RUNNING AND
PLACE THE NEXT ACTIVITY MONITOR ON THE FLOWLINK. IF YOU ACCIDENTALLY CLOSED
WEBSYNC, IT PROMPTS FOR THE USER CREDENTIALS AGAIN

›Polar WebSync Software
Polar WebSync is a software used to transfer data from Polar
CS500/FA20/FT7/FT40/FT60/FT80/RCX5/RCX3/RS300X to the polarpersonaltrainer.com web service
and from Polar Active to polargofit.com for further analysis and storage. For data transfer you will need
also FlowLink or DataLink accessory.
To be able to run Polar WebSync software you need

PC with Windows XP / Vista 32/64-bit / Windows 7 32/64-bit (Make sure you have
updated Microsoft Service Pack before installation) or

Intel Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) or newer
If you have earlier version of the WebSync software installed on your computer, close the
previous version before updating a new version. Right-click/secondary click WebSync icon in
taskbar/menu bar and select Exit WebSync.
You need to have administrator user rights to install the software. See Related documents
