Welcome
D Mitchell welcomed all.
2.
Matters Arising
School Meals, Better Learning Better Eating. This was continued from
previous meeting; Mr Rose asked for a quick synopses of meeting. This
is an ongoing issue.
Boundary Changes; further discussion; Board felt this was more of an
issue for Kilmaurs than Stewarton.
Steering Group Meeting Feb 15; The Parent Council were aggrieved to
hear that discussions were raised about the all-weather pitches at St.
Joseph’s Academy and to hear that the children should be transported to
another facility as the pitches are substandard; given that Stewarton have
no facilities at all.

Hockey pitches; PC are looking for support from parents; alert
parents of how good other schools facilities are.

Scottish Hockey are waiting to put in resources; Rona Simpson
has given advice; whole infrastructure waiting to be taken forward
PC looking for an update from EAC on the 9 million which has been
allocated to schools.

Correspondence
Parent Consultation – Tracking Language in the Broad General
Education; A briefing was given by Mr Rose, a question and answering
discussion took place. A leaflet was distributed to PC for suggestions and
return.
6. School Update
School Update for March was disseminated by D rose to Parent
Council, covering the undernoted topics.

8. Subgroup Update
Fundraising; a cheque is available from Stewarton Academy for PC
Account. £500.00 was raised by the pupils for Xmas Jumper and S
Factor
Parent Council; have asked that school liase with departments to
devise a wish list to allow for fundraising.
9 A.O.C.B
School Prom issues were raised, costs to parents; School has no
govenerance over this.
