(Hogle Zoo’s new calf is Jackson’s eighth calf) (Pittsburgh) (August 14, 2006)—The Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium is trumpeting the news: Jackson, our bull elephant, is a dad again for the 8th time. Jackson’s most recent offspring is a 251-pound female calf born at the Hogle Zoo in Utah on Monday according to Zoo officials. Hogle Zoo officials report that Mom Christie and the baby are doing very well. Jackson is the father of Angeline and Zuri, born here at the Zoo last year, as well as Victoria and Callee, born in 1999 and 2000.
