devolo at the Broadband World Forum (BBWF) in London:
"Make your services whole-home-ready!"
Aachen, Germany, 13 October 2015 – Aachen, Germany-based devolo AG is
presenting a number of new products from its Operator Solutions business unit at
the BBWF 2015 trade fair at the ExCeL Exhibition Centre in London from October 20
to 22 with the slogan "Make your services whole-home-ready!"
At stand E 15,
interested trade visitors have the chance to learn about the numerous innovations
relating to the fully networked home and about how they can be integrated into the
products and services from telecommunications providers. The PLC 1200+ WiFi ac
and the new PLC 550 WiFi Powerline adapters are a key focus for devolo's presence
at the trade fair. In addition, devolo Operator Solutions is presenting Home Control—
a comprehensive smart home solution engineered in Germany—for the first time.

Triple Play throughout the home – versatility like never before
IPTV, VoD, VoIP telephony and, of course, "normal" Internet access are available to end
customers using devolo PLC adapters on any power outlet in your home. Combined
Powerline/WiFi adapters from devolo simply use the power line as a data cable to make this
happen. The latest generation transmits both via Powerline and WiFi with bandwidths in the
gigabit range, making it possible to run numerous online and network applications
simultaneously. Another advantage: The hardware can be installed by customers
themselves in no time, without any tools or specialised knowledge. devolo technologies
such as WiFi sync also ensure extremely convenient configuration.
devolo PLC 1200+ WiFi ac and PLC 550 WiFi – extensive networking via the power
outlet
At BBWF, devolo is presenting its entire Operator Solutions portfolio. Special attention is
being given to the two newest adapters: the PLC 1200+ WiFi ac and PLC 550 WiFi. The
PLC1200+ WiFi ac is the current high-end device, which combines a Powerline bandwidth
of up to 1,200 Mbps with ultra-fast WLAN ac. It provides an integrated electrical socket with
mains filter and two gigabit Ethernet ports. It transmits and receives WiFi simultaneously at
2.4 and 5 GHz. Due to the use of all three lines of a circuit, devolo range+ Technology and
MiMo ensure optimal results in terms of stability, transfer rate and range. The PLC 550 WiFi
uses range+ Technology, with one of its key aspects being its compact dimensions. This
makes it especially ideal as a remote access point. devolo PLC 550 WiFi provides WiFi at
speeds up to 300 Mbps and Powerline at speeds up to 500 Mbps—all at distances
equivalent to 400 metres of cable.
devolo Home Control – easy, flexible, expandable
devolo goes a step further in home networking with its 'Home Control' smart home solution.
The integrative networking solutions for the areas of convenience, security and energy
savings are sure to go over well with trade visitors at the BBWF. devolo AG is using the ZWave and dLAN Powerline standards as a technical basis but relies on an open system
which can be expanded at any time with additional hardware components that are Z-Wavecertified.
Home Control is based on the control software, which guides end customers intuitively
through every area: from initial use to creating if/then rules and complex scenes including
time control settings. It is possible to adjust and customise the look and feel of the user
interface for relatively little investment. devolo Home Control is installed directly by end
customers themselves.
