Spanish 2 Hispanic Heritage Biography Timeline Poster/file due Sept. 22-23 You will choose a famous person of Hispanic background and create a timeline of their life with major events. Your person can be living or dead, of any profession (actor, athlete, artist, author, musician, politician, scientist, etc.) but must either be from a Spanish-speaking country or must be a U.S. citizen whose parents/grandparents came from a Spanish-speaking country. For this project, Spain is excluded. You will research this person’s life and choose between 7-10 major events in their lives to put on the timeline. For each event, state when/where/what happened and elaborate on why it was important. Write in the present tense in Spanish in complete sentences, not bullet points. Illustrate each event with images of the person. You will present your person by speaking for at least one and one-half minutes, summarizing their life and why you decided on them. Traditional full-size poster (our library sells posterboard at 50 cents a sheet) PowerPoint/Prezi display Meograph (www.meograph.com/education) or Tiki-Toki (http://www.tiki-toki.com/) No matter which format you choose, you must document where your images/music came from (bibliography of websites, etc.). DO NOT USE WIKIPEDIA AS A SOURCE. You will be given some time in class to work on this, but assume you will need to work outside of school as well. Ask your teacher if you have any questions.
