The Odyssey, Part II Group-taught Lesson Working with group members, you will be responsible for teaching a selection from Part II of the Odyssey. You will be responsible for creating a lesson plan, an interactive and engaging lesson with a visual product to support your teaching, and a classwork assignment or activity. The lesson plan format will be provided and must be completed and turned in by the deadline assigned to your group’s lesson. All group-taught lessons must include the following: Lesson plan: the completed lesson plan form must be turned in to Mrs. Crenshaw by the deadline given to your group. Vocabulary: terms from your assigned section that students must know will be included in your lesson. Content: information must be delivered in a detailed but concise manner, allowing time for class discussion and student questions (Summaries and/or videos may be helpful) Class work/Activity: an activity or assignment that students will complete after your lesson (this assignment or activity should have students demonstrate their understanding of the selection or extend their thinking and reasoning) All group members will have individual roles. These individual roles will influence group members’ individual grades for this project: Lesson Plan Writer(s): with input from group members, your job is to write and complete the lesson plan form Vocabulary List Creator(s): with input from group members, your job is to list and define all vocabulary terms from your group’s selection.
