Administration of the USCCB’s national diocesan NFP program

Research on issues critical to program needs such as, human sexuality,
fertility/infertility, contraception, natural family planning, marriage and family

Assistance to the diocesan NFP coordinators on the implementation of the
Standards for Diocesan NFP Ministry, a national program to certify diocesan
NFP teachers

Scheduled Ecumenical Guest Speakers for informal luncheons. Experts in the
field were invited to discuss their journey in Ecumenism. Among the experts
were: Johannes Cardinal Willebrands, Prefect of the Secretariat for Promoting
Christian Unity (SPCU); Msgr. John Radanno, Theologian of the SPCU
(Baptist/Roman Catholic Dialogue); Rev. Kevin McDonald (Anglican/Roman
Catholic Dialogue).

Programmed experiential field trips to ecumenical sites in Rome such as the Taize
Community in Rome, Jewish Ghetto, the Second International Jewish-Catholic
Theological Colloquium and met with students from the Institute Oecumenique
Bossey, World Council of Churches (WCC).

ecumenical group of theological students committed themselves to providing the
necessary formation of future church leaders in the ecumenical movement. The
areas of formation are prayer, theological study, and experiential events.
