-Rough Draft of Newspaper ArticleMissing: All Single-Celled Organisms!
Attention People!!!All the single-celled organisms are wiped off the face of the Earth! Here is a
persuasive story on the good things if they are gone and the bad things when their gone! Here is
the story.
I think that if all single-celled organisms were gone there would be bad reasons and good reasons
too. The bad reasons are that we now wouldn’t have our good bacteria/germs that we need, and
so on. The good reasons are that no one will be getting sick, and we wouldn’t have the bad germs
and bacteria. Also for another example for a bad reason: we might not have bacteria in
raw/uncooked food, and so on.
First, a single-celled organism is a living thing that is microscopic, also made of one cell. Here
are four types of single-celled organisms: euglenoids, flagella, amoeba, and dinoflagellates.Their
all single –celled organisms and they are also all microscopic, also made of one cell. That’s so
because that’s what single-celled organisms.
Here is what an amoeba, flagella, dinoflagelltes, and euglenoids look like. Amoeba-Looks like a
blob of something and are shapeless. Euglenoids-It has many features and it also looks as if there
is a long string at the end of it. Flagella-Many different shapes and sizes, and it also looks like a
euglenoid almost.Dinoflagellates-Many shapes and sizes and colors too.
An amoeba has many different
components like these parts. Contractile Vacuole-Is a vacuole that is in unicellular
organism.Pseudopod-Helps the amoeba move. Cell Membrane-It’s a cell with a membrane
.Cytoplasm-It’s something that is complex and does many jobs to the cell. Food Vacuole-Digest
food. Nucleus-It’s a organelle that is in eukaryotic cells.
This is a dinoflagellate.Nucleus-In all eukaryotic
cells. Flagella-It does a job and it groups from the cell.
Flagellum-It also does the same job as flagella .Groups from a cell.
Stigma-It’s a small spot on something.Chlorplasts-Something that contains chlorophyll
