INTERNATIONAL WINE CHALLENGE ANNOUNCES WINE MERCHANT OF THE YEAR FOR

CENTRAL ENGLAND NORTH.

The 30th International Wine Challenge names Tanners Wines Merchant of the Year for Central

England North.

The 30 th International Wine Challenge yesterday announced Tanners Wines is Wine Merchant of the Year for Central North England at its prestigious awards dinner.

This family-run wine merchant, which manages three beautiful historic wine shops in Shrewsbury,

Bridgnorth and Hereford, was praised by an expert panel of IWC judges for stocking the finest selection of wines in the area. Officially founded in 1872, the business is now managed James

Tanner, who is the fourth generation of the family to work in the company. The team impressed the panel with their knowledge, passion and commitment to discovering and sharing the finest winemakers from around the world.

Tanners Wines stocks a vast range of hand-made imported wines, with a huge selection of old, rare, and fine wines sold by the bottle. Servicing both trade and private customer in store and through their online shop , the knowledgeable team is dedicated to finding the perfect wine for any occasion. Its wine club is committed to selecting seasonal favorites and sharing them with their loyal members, and the team host regularly wine tastings and events to educate wine enthusiasts and novices alike.
