Price: £3 Gardening Group Tuesday 2.00- 4.00pm Abbey Residential Home, North Berwick This group meet up every week to maintain the garden of the Abbey Residential home in North Berwick, to allow the residents of the home to use their beautiful garden. Runs March to September The Club Wednesday 1.00 – 3.00 Bleachingfield Community Centre A weekly drop in group for older people living in Dunbar the Dunbar area. Weekly meetings can include social activities and physical activities like seated exercise and indoor kurling. Price £1 Men in Shed’s Tuesday and Thursday 1.30 – 4.30pm Macmerry Village Hall The ‘shed’ is run in partnership with Strive, and is now working on community projects There are work benches and tools, which are used for members to share their skills in working with wood and other interests. It provides a haven for men to come along and socialise. Come along and find out more about getting involved and taking part in this exciting new project. Price: £1 New Age Kurling Tuesday 10.00 - 11.30am The Fraser Centre Tranent New Age Kurling is a way to enjoy Curling but without the ice. It’s an activity that can be enjoyed by all levels of ability. There is no need to book, just come along for some social competitive fun. Price: Donation Seated Exercise Tuesday 10.30-11.00am Musselburgh East Community Centre Seated exercise classes are for people of all abilities who wish to partake in gentle exercise. Price: FREE Thursday 10.30am Prestonpans Walk Some More Second and Fourth Wednesday of every month Various walking routes Various times The Walk Some More group walk in different locations and last approximately 2 hours in different locations around East Lothian, from Gullane Hill and Aberlady nature reserve, round Lennoxlove estate and down to Dunglass. Dogs are welcome but are the responsibility of the owner and must be kept on leads at all times. The Ageing Well project is a partnership between NHS Lothian and East Lothian Council, and is part of the Age UK national Ageing Well Network, which aims to increase the expectation of good health in later life as well as maintain and promote the physical and mental health and well being of people over 50 in East Lothian to improve their quality of life through this list of activities.
