CLUB or SPORT Packet
The following packet includes the information and forms for the Ravenwood
Homecoming Parade. The packet includes:
FORM 1: Club or sport name and Vehicle/Driver Information
FORM 2: Student Permission Form
FORM 3: Student Driver Form (Hopefully you will not need this! Parent drivers
preferred).
FORM 4: Driver and Passenger Rules
FORM 5: Parade Day Instructions
You will need to:
1. Give all students Form 2, 4, and 5.
2. Give your parent driver FORM 4 and 5
3. Collect all forms. With FORM 1 as your cover, turn all completed
permission forms to Mary Hawken by Friday, September 25th. Please turn
all forms in together AT ONCE.
4. Your driver, as well as you (or a parent rep if you have a conflict) must
attend the parade meeting on Monday, September 28, at 2:40 pm in the
cafeteria.
Remember these dates and deadlines:
► Tuesday, Sept 15, forms are available. Distribute to team or club members
ASAP.
► Friday, Sept 25, all forms are due. You should consider setting a mid-week
deadline for your team to return forms to you.
►Monday, Sept 28, Parade Meeting, 2:40, cafeteria
►Friday, Oct 2, parade. 10 AM parade start with 9 AM dismissal.

Decorated CLUB or SPORT Vehicle Information
This form is required for all club or sports teams participating in the
homecoming parade. The club car, truck, or float must be decorated in
order to participate. Drivers and sponsor or coach must attend the meeting on
Monday, September 28, at 2:40 pm in the cafeteria to learn the parade rules.

Lane, right on Oak Hall, right on Raintree Parkway to the school
grounds, behind the football field to the front gate entrance of the
field.
I understand that all school policies are in effect throughout the entire
parade, and if my child violates any of these policies, appropriate
disciplinary actions will follow.

drive his/her decorated car or truck in the Ravenwood High School
Homecoming Parade on Friday, October 2, 2015.
I understand that the parade takes the following route: begins at Crockett Park,
to Volunteer Parkway, to Aberdeen, right on Ansley Lane, right on Oak Hall,
right on Raintree Parkway to the school grounds, behind the football field to the
front gate entrance of the field.
I understand that all school policies are in effect throughout the entire parade,
and if my child violates any of these policies, appropriate disciplinary actions
will follow.
I understand that my child is required to attend a meeting covering parade rules
on Monday, September 28, 2015 at 2:40 p.m. in the cafeteria at RHS.
Failure to attend this meeting will result in loss of driving privileges
in the parade.
I also give my permission for other club or team members to ride in the vehicle
with my child.

Ravenwood Homecoming Parade
Driver and Passenger Rules
The following are the rules and guidelines that I will follow as the driver or
passenger of the registered car, truck, or float in the Ravenwood Homecoming
Parade. I understand that failure to follow these rules and guidelines will result
in detention, suspension, or other appropriate punishment. I understand that
all administrators, faculty and staff are on-site interpreters of the rules and
procedures stated below.
1. I, as the passenger of the vehicle, will be responsible for the actions of myself and my
passengers. I, as the driver of the vehicle, will be responsible for the actions of myself and
my passengers.
2. I understand all school policies will be in effect throughout the parade including Zero
Tolerance policies.
3. I understand I am representing Ravenwood High School and must exhibit appropriate
behavior.
4. I understand only the person whose name appears on the driver form may drive the
vehicle during the parade. I also understand only people whose names appear on the
approved club, sport, or individual parade list may ride along as passengers.
5. For safety reasons, no one may sit in open windows or have their torso extended
outside a vehicle window. No one is permitted to ride in open trunks of vehicles.
6. If your vehicle is a truck, all passengers in the bed must be seated in the bed with
the tailgate closed. No sitting on the rails or the tailgate.
7. All participants must remain clothed throughout the parade as per the RHS Dress Code.
8. Drivers must adhere to all safety rules, drive at an appropriate rate of speed, maintain
proper spacing, and follow the designated parade route. No zig-zagging, No reverse
driving!!
9. Nothing, including candy and gum, may be thrown from any parade vehicle. This also
includes the use of silly string.
10. All decorations must be decorated in good taste, reflecting appropriate school spirit and
Ravenwood pride. If a vehicle is decorated with anything offensive or profane such as
Confederate flags, racial or sexual slurs, or anything in violation of ZERO
TOLERANCE policies, etc., the car will be immediately pulled from the parade route
and its occupants will be subject to disciplinary action.
11. Parade vehicles must have their vehicle number taped to the lower inside portion of the
driver’s side of the windshield at all times during the entire Homecoming Parade.
FORM 4
Parade Day Participant/Driver Instructions:
1. Place vehicle number on driver’s side dash. Needs to be seen.
Ticket off campus. Will pick up Friday morning of parade.
2. Get to Crockett Park, softball fields #1-4 parking lot ASAP when
dismissed by announcements. Decorate at the parking lot.
 Cars take Wilson Pike to Crockett Rd. to
Volunteer Pkwy.
 Trailers pick up students in stadium parking lot and
take the parade route to Crockett.
3. Go to SECOND 4 WAY STOP to turn into parking lot (at
bottom of hill) and circle around to your designated spot.
Look for teachers to help direct you.
4. Please be respectful.
5. Decorate cars in parking lot. Pick up all trash before the parade
begins.
6. Teachers will be there to check off people in your car.
7. No decorations = No parade for you!
8. Follow all rules previously discussed! Drivers are responsible
for riders.
9. Show your Raptor Pride!
