SEX OFFENDER TREATMENT SERVICES COLLABORATIVE – INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY (SOTSEC-ID) MEMBERSHIP APPLICTION The Sex Offender Treatment Services Collaborative-Intellectual Disability (SOTSEC-ID) is a collaborative group of professionals engaged in providing treatment for men with an intellectual disability who are at risk of sexual offending. The Collaborative has three aims: 1. A forum within which, clinicians who are engaged in treating this client group may meet to discuss treatment issues and ethical issues which this type of work raises. This aim is achieved through meetings, every 6-8 weeks, of interested professionals. 2. Appropriate training and dissemination of cognitive behavioural treatment (CBT) approaches for this client group. This aim is achieved by arranging periodic seminars and conferences. 3. A data set of sufficient size to allow a proper test of the effectiveness of group CBT for this client group.
