Coach Educator- Job Specification NZF Junior Coach Educator ‘Profile’ This coach educator profile is designed to provide a description of the role of coach educators and their responsibilities in course delivery. Title: Junior Coach Educator The following are essential requirements to be a successful Junior Coach Educator: Minimum Experience: Junior Level 2 qualification or relevant recognition of prior learning 2 years coaching experience in chosen community Skills: Ability to facilitate effective learning Ability to utilize electronic resources as a delivery mechanism Ability to effectively influence and develop others A demonstrated commitment to professional development Adopt the use of diversity sensitive language and behavior Assertively challenge prejudice and discrimination Positively promote the concepts of equality in football Positively promote the concepts of the Junior Framework in the NZF Whole of Football plan Main Duties and Responsibilities: Course delivery: To prepare and deliver the NZF Junior Coach Education material provided by New Zealand Football Administration: To liaise with the venue personnel to ensure that the venue criteria and participant ratios are met To ensure the completion of course attendance lists and course evaluation sheets To distribute any pre course material and ensure candidates understand the requirements for participating To validate all course tasks, and verify accordingly To return completed attendance lists, evaluation forms and spare resources to relevant Federation and or NZF Coaching Development Manager within a week of the course completion date or date agreed To complete and return feedback forms as requested by Federation and or NZF Coach Development Manager To ensure that participants are correctly entered into goalnet prior to the commencement of the course. Course Delivery To deliver the course syllabus in accordance with candidate pack, and resources supplied. To maintain high quality standards in course delivery To ensure that appropriate equipment is used as provided by the Federation/ NZF Coaching Development Manager To use modern delivery methods, and utilize electronic resources on all course delivery To actively promote the concepts of equality in football To assertively challenge prejudice and discrimination To demonstrate an understanding of generic training principles To self-reflect on course delivery and actively seek to improve different aspects of tutor performance
