Greetings Learn-to-Skate parents & skaters,
Welcome back!
As we begin our 2015-2016 season of LTS--we have a lot happening at the rink! Here’s what
you need to know for the upcoming months:
Fall classes are underway, but if you missed the Fall registration, don't worry! Winter class
registration opens at the end of this month.
WHAT'S NEW THIS YEAR
 We now offer Snowplow classes (for beginners ages 3-6) on Fridays from 5:00 - 5:30pm
 Our Friday Advanced Bridge class is open to ALL LEVELS of skaters - this opportunity is
designed specifically for skaters who are interested in trying out private lessons or to prepare
for a Basic Skills competition.
 On Saturdays we now offer a Power Skating class for skaters levels Freeskate 1 and above - a
great way to improve your skating skills and speed!
2015-2016 Brooklyn Blades on Ice Learn-To-Skate Pricing
Eight Week Program
Cost: Resident $35.00 + $12.00 USFS Fee = $47.00*
Partnership $42.00 + $12.00 USFS Fee = $54.00*
Non-Resident $50.00 + $12.00 USFS Fee =$62.00*
*USFS Fee $12.00 (One time charge for Sept.1, 2015-Aug.31, 2016)
*Each student who registers for more than one class per session will receive a $5.00
discount for each additional class

Brooklyn Blades on Ice Competition Team
 Remember! All skaters who enter a competition this skating season will
automatically become a member of the Brooklyn Blades on Ice Competition Team!
There are 6 opportunities to participate in Basic Skills Competitions this season:
October: Canton; November: Brooklyn; January: Euclid; March: Kent; AprilStrongsville; July: Mentor.
 Once you register for a competition, your skater will get his/her picture on the
program website, the rink bulletin board and will receive special recognition at the
end of the season.
 Skaters will be receiving information about each competition prior to the
registration deadline for each competition in class.
DON’T FORGET! Friday Bridge Program
The Friday Bridge Program is open to skaters of ALL levels! This means that your skater,
regardless of ability level, can sign up for one on one instruction for the price of a group lesson.
(Our Bridge Program is offered on Friday evenings from 6:00-6:30pm. Skaters are paired up
with a private instructor for a 15 minute private lesson and then have 15 minutes to practice
their skills.). This is ideal for skaters who are planning to participate in a Basic Skills competition
this season.
 Important dates to keep on hand for the 2015-2016 season:
-Winter Learn-To-Skate Registration opens: October 28, 2015 (classes begin 11/11)
-Brooklyn FSC Christmas Skating Exhibition: Friday, December 18 at 6:45pm
-Spring Learn-To-Skate Registration opens: December 30, 2015 (classes begin 3/9)
-BBOI Performance Ensemble Lake Erie Monsters Spotlight: Friday March 18, 2016
-Spring Swizzle Skating Exhibition: Saturday May 21, 2016 at 7 p.m.
