RI-Milan Booster Club Minutes from the January 8, 2015 Meeting The meeting was called to order by President Kevin Guthrie. We had two thank-yous, one from Ed Lillis for the donation for the Hall of Fame and one from Bob Carpentier’s family for the donation made in his name to the Hall of Fame.. The minutes from the December meeting were read, there were no corrections or additions. Dave Rockwell made a motion to accept the minutes, 2nd by Eldon Samdbman, and they were accepted. Rock Shop: Dave reported he did well on the afternoon of the Alleman game when he opened the Rock Shop for teachers/staff (about $400 worth of business). He has a lot of inventory left but there are a number of Big 6 games coming up in January and February. The Rock Shop is in the black for the year! Concessions: Kevin noted things have been going pretty well. Treasurers Report: The Report was read (it was noted the first four checks were all for the Hall of Fame), and Dave made a motion to accept the Treasurers Report, 2nd by Bob Blomgren. The motion carried and the Report was accepted. Old Business: Progress continues to be made on the sign – it has been erected and the top part is lit up, however they still need to connect it correctly so as to be able to post messages. New Business: The girls bowling team asked for a donation for their tournament, Bob DeVrieze had made a motion back in October to donate $100, which was tabled. Dave made a motion to execute the donation, 2nd by Bob B, and the motion passed The Rock Island Academy requested some help with a school project to install a new (more accessible) drinking fountain. We will donate some Rock Shop items to assist their fund raising efforts. Bob B made a motion to adjourn the January meeting, 2nd by Brian Flaherity. The motion was accepted.
