News & Views March 2014
Dear Parents & Students,
I hope everyone enjoyed their winter break. It is that time of year in our dance season when we ask all
students to continue to focus and make it to class every week for the rest of the season. Good attendance
and practicing at home are very important!
FINAL SHOE ORDER: We will be placing our final shoe order of the year on March 15th. This
allows time for the dancers to break in their shoes and allow for any backordered items to come in prior
to the recital. Please check your dancer’s shoes to be sure they are all set for the recital.
REMINDER: All monthly tuition is due by the 15th of the month and the final quarterly tuition
installment is due by April.
CLASS NAMES: All Combination classes (tap/ballet or tap/jazz) are given class names. All single
style classes will be identified as Hip Hop 1, Hip Hop 2, Irish 1 etc…

PHOTO DAY SCHEDULE:
REMINDER: All dancers at Stars of Dance will participate in our studio finale “On Broadway”. ALL
participating performers are required to attend our finale rehearsals which will be held at Stars of Dance.
Below you will find a schedule of rehearsal dates which are broken down according to your child’s class
age.
Friday April 25th and Friday May 16th. Please see below for your class and time of rehearsal:
5:30-6:00pm - All Creative Movement (Tiny Stars) as well as our Tap-N-Toe and Tiny Dancer Combo Classes
6:15-6:45pm - Tap/Jazz Combo Classes level 1 – 3, Hip Hop 1, Hip Hop 2, Petite Company, Mini Company.
7:00-7:30pm - Tween/Teen Tap & Jazz, Hip Hop 3, Hip Hop 4, Adult Classes, Junior & Senior Company.
REMINDER: The $25 recital tight and finale T-shirt payment is due by April 15th. (Add an additional
$5.00 per class if your dancer is in several different classes and requires more than one pair of tights or if
you would like to order an extra pair)
SUMMER DANCE SCHEDULE: We are currently accepting registration for our summer dance programs.
Stars of Dance will be offering 2-summer mini sessions. The mini sessions will consist of two 3 week sessions,
one held in July and one held in August. Summer sessions are great for the dancer to boost their technique or try
something new. You can find our summer schedule at the studio or online (will be posted online by the end of the
week).
We are still looking for class parents for some of our classes. Please see the class instructor or fill your name out
on the Class Parent List which is taped to the front door.
All of our important dates and reminders are posted on our web and throughout the facility.
