During the campaign, we raised a total of $8,969 toward the learning garden. We will
pay a 10% fee to Denise Raymond. There are some matching funds and recurring
payments that have not yet come in yet.
Leftover sodas/drinks will be donated to PTA for Heritage Night.
We feel like the event (80s dance) was fun, well-received, and successful. We raised
almost $1,500 that evening. One recommendation would be to have sign-up sheets for
volunteers, so that people would not have to be stuck at a station the whole time. We
like the idea of having one dance each year, hosted by the foundation.
Do we want to keep the event in March? Right before spring break? Another good time
would be September.
Sean recommends that we have two events each year, including the dance.
In the future, we need to specify that children must be accompanied by an adult.
Refreshments were fine, but next time recommend cheese and pepperoni (with possible
veggie for adults); no sausage
Sarvia will figure out how many pizzas we sold for future planning.
The cake walk was successful, but it seemed to take a long time. It would be great to
find a way to make it more efficient.
The website still has the link about the inaugural campaign – Brett will coordinate with
Heidi to edit the text to be more generic (remove inaugural, etc).
TOTAL FUNDS RAISED not including future payments: $8,989.00
