Rita suggested giving Joe the curator some more time to spend on maintaining these courts. Action: Bobby said he can speak to Joe regarding how many hours it will take to improve the far courts and to do the costing. Toni also mentioned that gravel and loam and line tapes were needed. b. Court Safety Freda mentioned that a boy slipped over and broke his arm on one of the courts. Format of Competition Derek commented that the Club was starting to get more members and in 687296580 Page 3 of 4 Version 1 15/01/2009 order to keep them they would have to think of a strategy to prevent the games from finishing too late. He suggested that the sets be cut from 4 to 3 to accommodate the extra players and prevent the games from finishing too late. He also suggested that the starting time could be brought foward from 7.00 to 7.30. Sid commented that 7.00 was too early as it was a rush to get ready. Derek said it didn’t take long to get ready for tennis. It was decided to try reducing the number of sets firstly to see if this was enough to alleviate the problem.
