SPML secures Rs. 526 crore worth underground sewerage project for
Mira Bhayandar, Maharashtra
Kolkata, 23 March, 2009: Subhash Projects And Marketing Limited (SPML) one of India’s
leading multi-disciplinary infrastructure companies recently bagged the underground sewerage
scheme valued at Rs. 525.79 crore (including Operations & Maintenance cost for 5 years after
commissioning) from Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation, Maharashtra.
The Scope of Work includes underground sewerage facilities in the 24 sq. km area of this fast
developing city within the next 30 months. The project would comprise providing, laying and
commissioning 107 kilometers of sewer lines; design, construction and commissioning of 10
Pumping stations and 10 Sewage Treatment Plants (STP) with capacities ranging from 7 MLD to
17 MLD. It will also provide for the necessary pressurized ring mains for distribution and disposal of
recycled water.
The system would be designed on completely decentralized system having 10 zones across Mira
Bhayandar.
The project includes operation and maintenance responsibilities of the above developed system
including the STPs for 5 years after commissioning. The project has a completion dateline of August
2011. This order is SPML’s third order in the last four weeks, with a cumulative value Rs. 1191.79
crore.
