2016 Fairfield Concert
Dear Dance Teacher,
Please see the table overleaf for the initial Fairfield rehearsal and dress rehearsal/performance dates for your school
for this year’s CSDA concerts. We send this letter now together with ticket information so you can inform parents
before the tickets go on sale.
Your rehearsal times and the performance running order will be confirmed very soon.
First rehearsal slots on Monday 29 February or Thursday 3 March will be between 8.45am and 12.30pm.
Dress rehearsals for the evening concerts are on the morning of your allocated performance and will run from
8.45am to 12.45pm approximately.
The dress rehearsal for the matinee will be on the afternoon of 14 March between 2pm and 3pm.
The evening performance on Monday 14 March starts at 6pm and will finish at 8pm approximately.
The evening performance on Tuesday 15 March starts at 7pm and will finish at 9.30pm approximately.
The matinee performance on Tuesday 15 March begins at 2pm and finishes at about 3pm approximately.
Dancers in the evening performances must stay until the very end of the programme.
The tickets for the performances will be on sale from the Fairfield box office, in person, by phone, 020 8688 9291
or online www.fairfield.co.uk from Monday 1 February. Performers do not have to buy a ticket.
Tickets for the evening performances cost £10 and £8, £12 for boxes, with reductions for senior citizens and
children. Matinee tickets cost £6, senior citizens and children £3.
School groups pay £2 for each child. This is a special offer for school groups wishing to attend the matinee – for
every 10 children (£2 per child), one teacher goes free when the password ‘creative’ is quoted to the box office
when booking. This offer is only available to teachers (not parents), and only by phone.
As usual, the performances will be professionally filmed and photographed for teachers and parents to purchase later. Please
check your school’s policy with regard to the filming and photographing of your students.
As you will see, there are more schools wishing to perform on the Tuesday evening than the Monday. Are there
any schools willing to change nights? If so, please let Barbara know by 4pm Friday 29 January. As a thank you, we
will reward the teacher concerned with the gift of a CSDA hoodie.
I hope that your dances are making good progress and I look forward to seeing you at the first rehearsals. The next
letter will allocate rehearsal times and give the performance running order.
