urban environmental management
 Intervened Cleaner Production (CP), energy efficiency & conservation and water conservation
assessments; GHG inventory, and wrote reports for 40 industries (adopted UNEP’s CP model)
 Used various field instruments to assess energy and water consumption data, analyzed them and
prepared reports

 Carried out Energy Audit of 3 industries as a team leader under “ Energy Auditors Development
Programme”, conducted by IFC/World Bank
 Caried out baseline study, selection of technology, trained the municipality staff on operation and
maintenance of the USAB based Biogas plant under a project “Conversion of Waste Agricultural
Biomass into energy” implemented jointly by the municipality and SEED Nepal with the suport of
International Technology Center (IETC), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Japan.
 Worked as an Environmental Consultant to adopt Integrated Solid Waste Management practices in
Birgunj Sub Metropolitan City of Nepal based on 3R principles.

”Gaseous Emission Standard “ of diesel generator sets and “waste water standard” from various
Industries.
 Involved in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of different project sites.

 Prepared inventory on hazardous waste generation in Nepal as Asian Development Bank (ADB)’s

Environment Sector Programme Support (ESPS/DANIDA) - Project for industrial environment
management and energy efficiency under the assistance from Danish International Development Agency
(DANIDA); Total Project cost: Approximately $30,000,000; Covered 350 industries across Nepal
 Intervened Cleaner Production (CP), energy efficiency & conservation, and water conservation
assessment, identified opportunities, and wrote reports for 90 industries (adopted UNEP’s CP model)
 Conducted Baseline study (Environmental Status and potential for CP/EE/OHS and its benefit in 5
different Industrial Sectors of Nepal.
 Assisted the industries to optimize the processes to conserve the resources (e.g. Energy, Water).
 Conducted over 18 motivational/technical training programmes and workshops in topics related to
Cleaner Production (CP), Energy Efficiency, (EE) and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)
