Challenges – emissions/discharges in general What types of product, activity or services at the unit may have a negative impact on the environment? What is the unit doing in order to limit any negative impact on the environment from emissions/discharges into the soil, atmosphere, water? Challenges – Refuse What types of refuse – hazardous waste? – does the enterprise/its activities generate? What are the unit’s routines for waste disposal? What has been done in order to make employees and students reduce the consumption of paper at the unit? Challenges – Energy What energy and water saving measures have been implemented at the unit? What has been done in order to make employees reduce their energy consumption? (by turning off the light, turning off the PC/screen, airing, controlling the temperature etc.) Challenges – Purchases How does the unit safeguard the emphasis on environmental requirements in its purchases of goods and services? (through the choice of materials, proportion of recyclable components, returning arrangements etc.) Challenges – Transport What efforts is the unit making to reduce the need for transport among its employees? What are the unit’s routines for coordinating the transport of goods? To what extent is video conferencing used as a substitute for meetings/travelling?
