Detail Use this application form to apply for a licence take the following plants for scientific, educational or conservation purposes: the European protected species (as listed in schedule 5 of the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2010) the plants listed in schedule 8 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 You should sample rare aquatic plants in a non-destructive way. You’ll need a licence if you can’t, but you should be using methods that minimise the impact. Apply for this licence To apply for this licence, complete the licence application form and send it to Natural England at the address provided. You may also need to provide written references to support your application. Use this reference form. How to report your actions You must keep a record of any actions taken under this licence and return it to Natural England within 2 weeks of the licence’s expiry date.
