Frequency Accuracy Measurements & Calculations with Spectrum Analyzers Conclusion: In this lab I learned to perform calculation and measurement of frequency accuracy of the spectrum analyzer. There are a lot of accuracy specs to the spectrum analyzer. Due to the age, type of components, warm up time, all these factors can affect the accuracy of the reading. So to become more accurate, there are some calculations to see whether or not the analyzer is within a good accuracy range. I learned what frequency reference accuracy, span error, resolution bandwidth are so I can apply them to an equation that will help me find accuracy. Aside from the calculations, there is also a way I learned to find the accuracy from the analyzer itself. The two methods of finding accuracy yields very close results with the measured slightly more accurate.
