 Instruct a class of 20 students on topics intended to help them transition to college. Topics include: note taking, study skills, campus resources, and readings based around a Green Living theme to help students learn skills to help them be successful in college

Assistant Director of Admissions for Processing (July 2008-present)

 Supervise classified staff on a daily basis (5 employees)

 Hire and train new employees as vacancies occur

 Awarded Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) tuition based on residency and qualifications of applicants

 Generate weekly statistical reports for the Associate Provost

Admissions Counselor-Telecounseling Coordinator (Sept. 2005-present)

 Recruited prospective students by visiting high schools, representing the university at college fairs, participating in the Oregon University System Fall Tour, and doing various presentations at other recruitment events

 Coordinated the Student Telecounseling program, including supervising a team of 15 students four evenings a week, developing the recruitment, interview and training processes of new Telecounselors, developing territory areas for each Telecounselor, and coordinating topics for the students to call

 Assisted in planning of on campus recruitment programs including Preview Days, WOU

Orientation, Advisement and Registration (SOAR)

 Generate documents including letters, e-mails, memos, spreadsheets, reports from Banner

Student Information System, and updating student files both on paper and in Banner Student

 Assisted in processing of student applications including evaluating transcripts, entering application information into Banner, and requesting Admissions letter

 Met with prospective students and their families and provided knowledge and advice on the application process, financial aid, scholarships, and general information about the university

 Attended PNACAC (Pacific Northwest Association of College Admissions Counseling) conference, May 2005

 Attended OrACRAO(Oregon Association of College Registrars and Admissions Officers)

Summer Workshop 2006, and attended sessions including “FERPA 101” and “Customer

 Updated Telecounseliing Program to a computer based system using Banner and Excel, assisted in hiring and training of new Telecounselors, generated call lists and outlines

 Answered Telecounselor questions, managed time sheet spreadsheet

 Worked with a caseload of prospective students over the phone, gave Admissions information, and answered questions regarding the university

 Gave weekly campus tours to groups of various sizes, “VIP” tours to campus visitors, participated in student panels
