THE TONY HOLMES SPRINT MEET
12th July 2015, Beechdale Swimming Centre, Nottingham
1.
The Tony Holmes Sprint Meet will be held under ASA Laws and ASA Technical Rules and is licensed level 3 EM150258
2.
The Meet will be held on Sunday 12th, July 2015. The venue will be Beechdale Swimming Centre, Beechdale Road, Nottingham or The
Harvey Hadden Sports Centre
3.
The Age Groups are 9, 10, 11, 12, 13/14 & Open. Ages on day of Meet, Sunday 12th July 2015.

Individual events are 50m sprints, all four strokes, with the exception of 9 Years 25m Butterfly, and 100m I.M. There will be Age Group finals
for 9 Years 25m Butterfly and all other 50m sprints. 100m I.M will be H.D.W , Also there will be a Medley Skins Event for the Top six of the
boys and girls event with Cash prizes to the top three winners.

The pool length is 25m, six lanes. The Pool will be equipped with OMEGA ARES electronic timing, with Piccolo Display and anti-wave lane
ropes.
6.
Over-the-top starts and side-by-side starts may be used at the Promoter’s discretion to help with the smooth running of the competition. The
one start rule shall apply throughout the Meet.
7.
Finalists will be the fastest six swimmers from the heats within each Age Group. In the event of two or more swimmers recording the same
heat times, resulting in more than six swimmers being eligible for the final, a 'swim off' will take place at an appropriate time to determine
finalists.
8.
Trophies will be presented to the first six places in individual events. Overall Top Boy, Top Girl and Top Visiting Club Trophies will be
presented at the end of the meet. Top Boy and Top Girl will be the swimmer with the most gala points at the end of the meet. Gala points will
be awarded to individual finalists only as follows: - 1st - 6 points, 2nd - 5 points, 3rd - 4 points, 4th - 3 points, 5th - 2 points, 6th - 1 point. Points will
be awarded for the individual medley based on the fastest 6 times in the heats for each age group. Overall Top Boy and Top Girl will be the
swimmers with the highest total of points. In the event of more than one swimmer having the same number of points, both swimmers will
receive trophy.
9.
This meet is first come first serve and if the Meet is oversubscribed, the Promoters reserve the right to reject entries across all age groups at
their discretion based on 3 1\2 hours per session.
10.
This meet is a club entry only. All entries must be submitted by the club gala coordinator who is responsible for entering the swims
electronically using the Sportsystems Entry Manager Software. Individual entries will not be accepted. Cheques payable to Nottingham
Leander S.C. No entries will be accepted after the closing date of 12th June 2015, or an earlier date if the meet becomes full.
11.
The Meet will consist of two sessions (1 hour warm up for both sessions):
Session 1 - Warm Up 8:15am, Start 9:20am (Withdrawals by 8:30am)
Session 2 - Warm Up TBA
12.
The Entry Fee is £5.00 per individual event.
Coaches’ Passes for the day will cost £15.00 per individual. Coaches’ passes will be limited to a maximum of two (2) per club. This will
include programme and free meal between sessions. Please fill in the coach’s passes section on the club entry form and include the
remittance with entry fees.
13.
This meet will be CARDLESS so it is the individual swimmer’s responsibility to check that their entry has been accepted and is correct.
Entries for each club and DRAFT programme will be published on the Leander website before the event. Amendments must be received as
soon as possible as the programme will be finalised and printed 1 week prior the event.
14.
If you are not going to swim any one or all of events that you have entered you MUST send an email to Sprint@leandersc.com or inform the
registration/withdrawals desk located in the balcony at the meet by the published withdrawal closing time for each session. After this time it
will be assumed that you are swimming the event and a lane will be allocated to you. If you cannot make it to the competition for any reason
and need to withdraw on the day additional withdrawals can be made by text message to .
15.
Swimmers will be called at least two events prior to their swim and should report to the Competitors Steward immediately. The stewards will
send swimmers to the starting area.
16.
Lists of finalists will be posted. All Finalists should report to the Competitors Steward immediately prior to the finals being swum at the end of
each session. If you need to withdraw from a final, please do so in person at the recorders desk no later than 15 minutes of the publication of
finalists. If you are a reserve finalist and do not wish to be kept as a reserve, please also withdraw.
17.
No refunds will be given for cancellation of accepted entries after the closing date of entry. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry
without reason.
18.
All participants must observe safety precautions in operation at Beechdale. Swimmers must wear appropriate footwear when leaving the
poolside.
19.
Vending facilities are also available. Seating capacity at Beechdale is 360 and there is a large free car park adjacent to the pool. You are
advised not to leave clothing or other articles unattended as neither the Promoter nor the Pool management are able to accept any
responsibility for loss or damage.
20.
By competing in the Meet you are agreeing to photography taking place. Anyone wishing to use cameras, video recorders or camera phones,
should complete the Video/Photography Record Log at the Entry Desk and MUST ensure that they display the resulting identification at all
times during the event. Any concerns about photography taking place, should be raised with the Meet Manager.
