Grading Policy
Total of 7 tests, final exam which will be counted twice, and attendance grade as
figured below. This is a total of 1000 points. Grade cutoffs are: 90-A, 80-B, 70-C, 60-D. Everyone must
take the final. If you have taken all 7 tests and your attendance score is not zero, the final exam score can
also be used to replace up to two lower test scores. For instance, your final is an 83, you have taken all 7
tests, and your two lowest exam scores are 65 and 78. The 83 will replace both the 65 and the 78. In this
case, your final exam score will count 4 times when figuring your grade. If you miss a test, the final will
replace the zero. Attendance grade will not be dropped. When you miss an exam, your grade on the
final will be counted 3 times. Any missed test after the first missed exam will be counted as a zero. If your
grade on the final is not higher than any test, the final still counts 2 times.

The maximum possible total that will be recorded for any student is 100, so you can miss some classes or
drills and you can still have a score of 90 or better. If you have to miss a lecture class, you may attend extra
drills to make up the points. Times of drills are posted outside SCEN 222. Having an attendance score of
100 can mean a lot for your grade. An attendance score of 100 will make a test score average of 55 be a D,
66 a C, 77 a B, and 88 an A.
Accutrack and Drill Policy
Accutrack is a system we use for recording your drill minutes. You only earn drill minutes while the
time is listed for Finite Drill (8:30AM-6:30PM, Monday-Thursday, No Drill on Friday). You do your drill
mainly in SCEN 211. If SCEN 211 is closed (after 4:30PM), you can go to SCEN 212 to do your
homework, but Don’t Expect to have tutoring because SCEN 212 is not assigned for Finite tutoring. The
tutor in SCEN 212 has the right to ask you leave if his/her students need a seat. Also, Graphcal is only
installed in SCEN 211 and testing center. No graphcal in SCEN 212.
Testing Policy
1. Finished the home work and update the profiles before taking the test. The update computer is in
SCEN 211.
2. You can Only take the test on Deadline, no early test will be allowed.
3. You only have Two make-up tests allowed. Make-up test will be held on a specific day. It’s better to
save them for the emergency.
4. Turn off all your electronic devices, like iPod, cellphone, or you will get yourself in trouble.
5. Only calculator allowed is Graphcal. Figure out how to use Graphcal before taking the test because
test staffs are not allowed to tell you how during the test.
