Lexington Woman’s Club $450 Service Scholarship
Lexington Woman’s Club will award a $450 cash scholarship to one graduating high school senior who
best exemplifies the spirit of community, church and/or school service. Each Fayette County high school
will review that school’s applications to select one school finalist whose application will be forwarded to
the LWC Scholarship Committee to determine a winner.
Please submit your completed application and a photo (to be published, if you are selected as winner) to
your school counselor no later than April 8, 2015. Each school’s counselor(s) will choose one school
finalist to submit to LWC by April 22, 2015. LWC scholarship committee members will review the
finalists’ applications, verify information, schedule personal interviews as needed, and select the winner by
April 30, 2015. The decision of the LWC Scholarship Committee is final.

Evidence of Service – Please provide details of at least two community, church, and/or school service
projects with which you have been involved in the last two years. Include details such as the nature and
degree of your involvement, what your duties were, how many hours you personally contributed over that
period of time, what results were achieved as a direct result of your involvement, who the project served,
etc. Use this opportunity to toot your own horn!
Note – You must provide the name, title, and phone # of an adult who has personal knowledge of and can verify your
involvement (teacher, club advisor, event organizer, pastor, etc.) for each service activity you list.
