What is “Corresponding Subscribership”?
Corresponding Subscribership is a subscription to The Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI, the
professional association of Psychologists in Ireland) which is available to all who wish to join the PSI as
a correspondent subscriber.
Applicants are requested to note that acceptance of a candidate for Corresponding Subscribership of
The Psychological Society of Ireland does not automatically confer eligibility for Graduate Membership
or Subscribership of that Society.
What are my entitlements as a Corresponding Subscriber of PSI?
As a Corresponding Subscriber, you will receive access to a monthly bulletin (The Irish Psychologist), a
quarterly scientific journal (The Irish Journal of Psychology) and regular details of Psychology news,
lectures, meetings and social events. Reductions in fees to the PSI Annual Conference and other
meetings are also available to Corresponding Subscribers.
Am I eligible for Corresponding Subscribership?
Corresponding Subscribership is available to people who are not eligible for Graduate Membership or
Subscribership; for example, you cannot be a Corresponding Subscriber if you possess an honours
degree or equivalent in Psychology from a recognised institution or if you are studying on an accredited
psychology degree course. If you are unsure of your eligibility, please provide full details of any
qualifications in Psychology which you have already obtained. Corresponding Subscribership is valid for
one year and can be renewed on a yearly basis.
How much does it cost?
The annual fee for Corresponding Subscribership is €55.00. Your application will not be processed by
PSI if this fee is not enclosed with the completed form overleaf.
How and where do I apply?
Completed application forms for Corresponding Subscribership should be sent, with the appropriate fee
to:
The Membership Secretary,
The Psychological Society of Ireland
2nd Floor Grantham House
Grantham Street
Dublin 8
Please note: Each application must be accompanied by €55.00 in the form of cheque/bank draft or
credit card details. Cash is not accepted.
