And see with your own eyes how that energy is turned into products you and everyone on the planet depend on every day. Heat. Light. Power. Mobility. Materials to make the products that define the life you live. All are made possible by oil and gas. And as demand continues to grow, delivering it sustainably and at a reasonable cost remains one of the biggest challenges in the world today.
FINAL YEAR and PLACEMENT OPPORTUNITIES
We recruit ambitious graduates and interns like you at every stage of the energy life cycle - from geoscientists sending shock waves through the earth to find new oil and gas reserves and engineers building platforms in the ocean to extract them, to traders anticipating and reacting to changes in the markets around them.
Whether you want to be a future business leader, a world-class scientist or ground-breaking engineer, we have the programmes to suit. For graduates, our threeyear ‘Challenge’ and Integrated
Supply & Trading (IST) programmes are designed to help you develop the skills and experience you need. And for penultimate-year undergraduates and postgraduates, our paid internships last for a full 12 months or for 11 weeks over the summer months – giving you a first look at the real world of business. Whichever route you choose, you’ll get a unique insight into our work and discover how incredible an organisation this is to be part of.
To say these programmes are an inspiring way to launch your career would be an understatement.
But exhilarating though they are, they’re really just a starting point for even more amazing discoveries to come.

Marie Curie Cancer Care is a UK charity dedicated to the care of people with terminal illnesses. In
2013-14 we helped 40,884 people. We are best known for our network of nearly 2,000 Marie Curie
Nurses (144 of whom are in NI), who work in the homes of terminally ill patients across the UK, providing practical care and support.
Our nine Marie Curie Hospices across the UK provide expert care and the best quality of life for people with terminal illnesses. We are the biggest provider of hospice beds outside the NHS, and we are expanding outpatient and day services at all our hospices. Our hospices reached 8,931 people in 2013-14.
There are Marie Curie Hospices in Belfast, Bradford, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Hampstead (London),
Liverpool, Newcastle, Penarth (near Cardiff) and Solihull.
Marie Curie Cancer Care is a leader in research into the best ways of caring for people with terminal illnesses, and how care could be improved in future. We have our own research teams, and we fund external research programmes.
We campaign for more patients to be able to be cared for and die in their place of choice. Research shows around 63 per cent of people would like to die at home if they had a terminal illness, with a sizeable minority opting for hospice care.
All our services are always free to patients and their families, thanks to the generous support of the public. We fund our nursing services and hospices in 50/50 partnership with the NHS.
Marie Curie recruits across our service lines above as well as for our core support service. We also have volunteering and fundraising opportunities for those wishing to build up their experience.
Our opportunities are advertised on our website where you can also register to have job alerts sent to your inbox.

Oasis Caring in Action began in 1996 as a drop-in centre, operating out of a terraced house in
Thorndyke Street - at the centre of the Inner East Belfast Redevelopment Programme. In those early days, the work of Oasis was entirely focused on the community in the area around that building; meeting the immediate needs of those visiting the Dropin Centre. Over the intervening years we have expanded into a much broader range of programs in response to the needs of the local community. Our work in Inner East Belfast over those years has laid firm foundations of excellence in what we do; in more recent times that has given us the confidence to respond to the needs of other communities such as West Belfast, Causeway Coast, Antrim and even South East
Asia. It’s so encouraging for all involved in the organisation to see lives being transformed in all those new areas of Oasis input.
With over 100 employees, our service lines cover a wide range of approaches to address community need and include
Employment and employability

Befriending
Community enterprises including a café, social housing refurbishment and maintenance and cleaning
Although we do not follow a traditional recruitment cycle, we do have graduate level jobs available throughout the year as well as placement and volunteering opportunities to help you build up your experience in project working within a community development environment.
