Semester Exchange Program Course Description To keep academic well standing, students should take no less than 5 courses from the followed course list per semester. Core course must be taken every semester. Each course covers no less than 45 credit hours. The faculty from students’ home university is recommended to deliver a course of the home university. Core Courses 1) Chinese Language, 3 credits, Professor He Jianping, This course helps foreign students learn basic Chinese language, including Pinyin System, intensive and extensive reading, listening, grammar, dialogue. He Jianping, professor, tutor of graduate students, has rich experience in teaching international students Chinese language both in China and overseas. 2) Business Chinese Language, 3 credits, Associate Professor Li Ren, This course focuses on the vocabulary and conversation of business Chinese Language, including business paperwork format and business amenities in China. Li Ren, associate professor, special Journalist engaged by BBC in Chongqing, has had business experience in China. Elective Courses 1) Chinese Economy, 3 credits, Associate Professor Zheng Daxuan, This course will offer the students the current and future development of Chinese economy, the relationship between Chinese economy and the world economy, the major issues and approaches in the development, such as the reform of state-owned enterprise, financial systems, economic development in agriculture.
