Tuition rates are reviewed and set annually by the North Carolina legislature. Fees are reviewed and approved by the University's Board of trustees with final approval pending the Board of Governors of the Greater University of North Carolina System review. Figures are based on tentative rates for fall semester 2005, spring semester 2006, and approved rates for summer 2005. Charges listed below are by the semester except for summer school.
Twelve or more credit hours are considered full-time for undergraduates and nine or more credit hours are considered full-time for graduates.

Fees are required and entitle part-time students to the same services and privileges as full-time students.
Room and board is optional (refer to Student Life sections dealing with dining and housing for plans
and rates).
Please note a freshman selecting the dorm option must also select a meal plan option. During summer sessions students electing to live on campus must also select a meal plan option.
