Alumni Orientation Session

New Alumni Orientation
The most significant way student chapters can encourage a brother to remain active as an alumnus is to
educate that brother about the benefits of alumni status and the ways he/she can stay involved in the
Fraternity after graduation. Although this knowledge is passed along in small ways throughout the
student membership experience, the chapter must reinforce this knowledge through New Alumni
Orientation right before the Graduating Senior Ceremony.
Objective
To educate the graduating seniors on the benefits of being an Alpha Kappa Psi alumnus, responsibilities of
alumni, and ways for alumni to stay involved in Alpha Kappa Psi.
Timing
A New Alumni Orientation meeting should be held for about 30 minutes. This session should be prior to
the Graduating Senior Ceremony ritual, but could be held afterward, if needed.
