USM ALUMNI ASSOCIATION 2007 Officers and Directors PRESIDENT: Robin Mullins’91,’98 rmullins@hannaford.com Robin earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education in 1991 and her Master of Arts, also in Education in 1998, both from USM. She is a former member of the Adult Education Society and has participated in several United Way campaigns. Currently, she volunteers in her hometown for the Junior Achievement program and as a soccer and basketball coach. Robin is the Learning Design & Systems Team Lead at Hannaford Bros Co. and resides in Windham with her husband, John, and two daughters, Cassidy and Ainsley. PRESIDENT-ELECT: Bruce Roullard’84 bruce.roullard@americanhm.com Bruce is a Branch Manager for American Home Mortgage, and works in downtown Portland. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from USM in 1984 and his M.B.A. from the University of Maine in 1987. Bruce serves on the Board of Directors of the Gorham Times, is a Division Commander with Sigma Nu Fraternity, and is involved with Greek Life Alumni Council and the Portland Lions Club. Bruce resides in Gorham. IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT: David Levesque’93,’97L david@levesquelaw.com David has a general civil law practice in Damariscotta with concentrations in real estate and estate planning. He earned his M.B.A. from USM in 1993 and his J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law in 1997. David holds leadership positions in the Lincoln County Bar Association and the Maine State Bar Associations. He also serves on the Board of the Damariscotta Region Chamber of Commerce. David resides in Newcastle with his wife and two sons. V.P. OF COMMUNICATIONS: Gene Boyington’89 gene@haasinstitute.com Gene earned his M.B.A. with a concentration in Marketing from USM in 1989. He is the owner of A Smooth Move, a furniture moving company, and Mast Corner LLC, a real-estate company specializing in residential properties, land development and marketing, both companies headquartered in Freeport. Gene came to the Board from the M.B.A. Alumni Association in the early 1990’s. He is a member of the Freeport Conservation Commission and also performs weddings. Gene resides in Freeport. V.P. OF SPECIAL EVENTS: Stephen Puleo’97,’99 spuleo@southportland.org Steve earned BA in in Environmental Science in 1997 and a Masters in Community Planning & Development from the Muskie School in 1999. He has served as President of the Muskie School Alumni Chapter, helping to develop career support and mentoring services for students. Steve is employed as a Community Planner for the City of South Portland. He and his wife and their two children reside in Portland. V.P. OF FINANCE: David G. Allen’75 david.g.allen@maine.edu David is Branch Manager of the University Credit Union in Portland. He earned his BS degree in Business Administration from USM in 1975, when the University was still known as The University of Maine at Portland-Gorham. He also holds a graduate degree from Fairfield University. Prior to becoming a full member, David served the Board as an Associate Member. David and his wife reside in Saco. VICE PRESIDENT OF MEMBERSHIP: Kristen Hanson’92 khanson@hannaford.com Kristen earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from USM in 1992. She is employed by Hannaford Brothers as the Vice-President of Fresh Merchandising. Kristen is active with the YMCA, The United Way, and local school programs. She currently serves as the CoChair of the Kresge Challenge Alumni Committee. Kristen resides in Scarborough with her husband Ron their two daughters. USM ALUMNI ASSOCIATION 2007 Directors Andrea Andrus’72 aandrus33@maine.rr.com While in school, Andrea was named to “Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities”; was involved in the Student Senate; and was a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. She served on the Alumni Board from 1975-1977, and was president in 1977. Andrea owns a private consulting practice focusing on non-profit organizations. She is a member of the American Association of Professional Women and the National Association of Female Executives. She volunteers at the Cancer Community Center and resides in South Portland. Barbara Arnoldo’69,’78,’98 baarnoldo@aol.com holds three degrees from USM’s College of Education and Human Development. She has been an educator for many years, serving as an elementary school teacher in Maine and Massachusetts, an instructor at St. Joseph’s College, and Principal of St. Patrick’s School in Portland. Barbara is currently the Principal of Notre Dame de Lourdes School in Saco. She values the learning process and strives to improve the quality, content and environment of learning. Barbara enjoys residing on a lake in Falmouth four seasons a year. Stuart A. Brown’05 stubbie@maine.rr.com graduated from USM with a degree in Nursing. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Indiana University in 1970, and received a M.B.A. from Rutgers University in 1973. Stuart is currently employed as a staff nurse at Central Maine Medical Center Heart and Vascular Institute in Lewiston. He serves on the Board of Directors for Partners for Rural Health Dominican Republic. Stuart and his wife Terry have two children and four grandchildren. They currently reside in Portland. Catherine Daigle’94 daigle@portland.lib.maine.us attended Ricker College and the University of Maine at Augusta prior to graduating from USM with a Bachelor of Arts in History. Since graduation, Catherine has worked at the Portland Public Library as an Library Assistant, working with periodicals and children’s literature. She has been involved with social Sorority Beta Sigma Phi International for over 35 years and has served on the Portland Docent Society in the Tate and Longfellow Houses. She and her husband, Alfred, have two children and two grandchildren. They reside in South Portland. Spencer Droggitis’98 sdroggit@maine.rr.com is a graduate of USM’s School of Applied Engineering, Science and Technology, He works as a Management Analyst at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Spencer is a member of the Navy Civilian Managers Association and a former member of the Biddeford Airport Commission. He is currently serving as the Chair of the Alumni Association’s 2007 Scholarship Golf Tournament. Spencer and his wife reside in Biddeford. Terry Garrett’88 terry.garett@wellpoint.com graduated from USM with an M.B.A. She also attended the University of Maine, where shereceived a Bachelor of Science in 1973. Terry is currently employed at Wellpoint, Inc. as the Director of Process & Planning, Internal Audit. She is a Certified Internal Auditor and member of the IIA and Downeast, Maine IIA Chapter. Terry and her husband Michael have one daughter Caitlin, who is married and resides in Hawaii. They are residents of Cape Elizabeth. Audrey Hilton L’Heureux’05 alheureux@richardsonhollow.com is a graduate of USM’s Lewiston-Auburn campus, earning a BA in Social and Behavioral Science. She was very active in the Student Government Association and is a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society. She is employed at Richardson Hollow Mental Health Services in Lewiston. She is a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit#153, and is involved with many causes including working with homeless veterans and the Girl’s State program. Audrey is married to Paul L’Heureux, and between them they have 15 grandchildren. They reside in Auburn. Theresa Jordan’93 tcjart@aol.com received her degree in Art Education from USM in 1993. She is the owner and President of Jordan Maritime Industries Inc, and Jordan Marine, Inc. Theresa has served on the Board of Directors for Day One, is the current Class Agent for the class of 1993 and is certified as a hospice care provider. Theresa is involved with the Florida Alumni Chapter, The Book Awards Committee, USM Homecoming and the Alumni Association Golf Tournament. She resides in Scarborough. Holly M. Johnson’05 hmj@macpage.com transferred to USM from Gordon College in Wenham, Mass. She is the first in her family to attend a four-year college, earning her BS in Accounting and Finance from USM in 2005. As a student, Holly was active with the Accounting and Finance Society, Students In Free Enterprise, and Corporate Partners. She is still involved with Corporate Partners Holly serves on USM’s Kresge Challenge Alumni Committee. She is employed with Macdonald Page and Co, LLC as a staff accountant in the audit department. Scott McKenney’93 scott_mckenney@hilton.com holds a Bachelor of Arts. in Communications with a minor in Business from USM. After graduation, Scott went to work in the hospitality industry, accumulating 16 years of experience, first with the Marriot company, and then Hilton Hotels. He is currently the General Manager of the Hilton Garden Inn-Auburn Riverwatch in Auburn, ME. Scott and his wife, Rebecca have a four year old son, Jackson. They reside in Cumberland. Sally Serunian’76 salser@maine.rr.com graduated from the University of Maine at Portland-Gorham, USM’s predecessor school, earning a Masters in Counseling Education in 1976. She is a School Counselor in the Portland School system. Sally has served on numerous committees of the Alumni Association Board of Directors, including Scholarship and Marketing. She is also very active as a volunteer with the Portland Symphony Orchestra and serves on various psychology boards. Sally resides in Portland. Sheila Stovall’01 sstovall@maine.rr.com received a degree in Arts & Sciences from USM in 2001. She is employed at Aetna Insurance Company, and volunteers for the Muskie School as a Field Research Analyst in her spare time. Sheila has served as Chair of the Board’s Book Award Committee, and is involved with the Young Alumni Program at USM. She resides in Portland. Kate Tarbox’86 kdt@gwi.net is the owner of KDT Communications, based in Springvale. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/Communications from USM, and a Master of Arts in Marketing from Emerson College in Boston. Kate is the Immediate Past President of the New England Society for Healthcare Communications, and currently sits in its Board of Directors. She serves on the Alumni Association Marketing Committee. Kate resides in Springvale with her husband and three sons
