Facilitated creation of a comprehensive Advancement team, overseeing three full-time staff
members.
Manage all development/fundraising, alumni and donor relations, grant research support, event
production and promotion, and marketing/communication for the College of Humanities.
Serve as the primary research and public relations officer for the College of Humanities.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining relationships with alumni, donors, and
national foundations.
Serve as the primary public relations officer for the College with responsibility for branding,
event/course promotion, and managing the College’s public image locally, regionally, and
nationally.
Oversee all major gift cultivation, donor relations and College development.
Key accomplishments have included increased grant submissions within the College from an
average of $550,000/year to just over $5,000,000 in 2009-2010, as well as demonstrated continual
improvement in grant funding efficacy (percent of submissions funded), with total awards now
averaging over $2,000,000 annually.
Increased new donors to the College of Humanities by 25% in first 24 months of development
oversight, yielding average annual donations to the College (in addition to the grant funds
mentioned above) of just over $2,000,000.
Responsible for developing/enforcing College graphic standards. Effectively managed redesign
of College brand, including logo, letterhead and collateral materials
Managed redesign of the College web infrastructure and management, moving more than 50
separate “silo” department/program websites into a common content-management infrastructure
with shared databases.
Currently oversee coordination of more than 100 community lectures, events and workshops
each year, including design/production, media scheduling, fundraising, and event production;
Manage design, writing and production for all College publications, including the annual
Kingfisher alumni publication (print and electronic), newsletters, promotional copy, podcasts and
social media strategies, and student recruiting materials.
