CertifiedBackground.com-AACN Scholarship Application
Deadlines: January 31, April 30, July 31 and October 31
Two $5,000 scholarships will be distributed to top nursing school applicants four times each year.
Scholarship Criteria: All scholarship applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Be admitted or enrolled in a baccalaureate or higher degree nursing program at an AACN member
institution. To check AACN membership, see
http://www.aacn.nche.edu/Memberservices/membdir.htm.
2. Maintain at least a 3.2 grade point average in current program or at last school attended.
3. Be enrolled at a school affiliated with CertifiedBackground.com (see affiliated schools at
http://www.aacn.nche.edu/Education/pdf/CBSchools.pdf) OR have submitted your application to a
nursing school through NursingCAS (see https://portal.nursingcas.org).
Application Submission: Please email your completed application and essay by the deadline date to
scholarship@aacn.nche.edu. Put the letters “CBC” in the subject line of the email. Incomplete
applications will not be considered. Applications will remain on file for consideration for one year.
Due to the volume of applications received, only winners will be notified of final decisions. All winners
will be announced in the AACN News Watch e-newsletter and posted on the AACN Web site.
