The Church Universities Fund
Grants are available from the above fund to advance the following related objects:
 Supporting projects which enhance the Anglican character of Church Universities.
 Supporting and enhancing Anglican chaplaincy provision in Church Universities.
In order to qualify for consideration for a grant, projects must advance one or both of those objects and also
meet the following requirements:
1. The projects must emanate from, or be located within, or be in partnership with,

one or more of the Church Universities currently in membership with the Cathedrals Group
which has an Anglican component

the National Society

the Archbishops’ Council Board of Education.
2. Applications must be made on the form provided.
3. The Vice-Chancellor(s) of the Church University involved must indicate his/her support of the project
by countersigning the application form.
4. Applications involving the National Society or Board of Education must be countersigned by the Chair
or Chief Officer.
5. The objects of the fund are to enable the enhancement of Anglican ethos and chaplaincy. Therefore
grants will only be given for new or developmental, rather than existing, work.
6. Projects which lead to ongoing work, and which have specific outcomes, e.g. the dissemination of
material which will enhance Anglican identity, are more likely to receive support.
7. Grants will be made for a maximum of three years.
8. Reports must be submitted to the Church Universities Fund Committee on an annual basis detailing the
progress and impact of the project and alerting the committee to any difficulties arising in the execution
