All churches come together to improve the living conditions of low income people on Long Island. Tasks Available for Students Administrative Assistance: The Long Island Council of Churches Food Pantry needs assistance with various administrative tasks including updating their Facebook page, updating Excel spreadsheets, mail merge for mailings, etc. Time commitment is flexible. They would also like to create a tri-fold brochure that will illustrate their services to the community. Pantry Assistance: Assist in the food pantry Monday-Friday between the hours of 10-4PM. Time Requirements Flexible, the pantry is open Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Agency Directions By Public Transportation: Take the LIRR and get off at the Freeport Stop. Take #40 or #43 Bus to pantry at intersection of Prince Ave. Enter first door in parking lot. By Car: GCP to CIP South. Merge onto Southern State Parkway and exit at Take the 21 exit toward Nassau Rd/Hempstead/Freeport. Merge onto W Greenwich Ave. Turn right at Nassau Rd.
