JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: PANTRY ASSOCIATE (NODS7) STATUS: LOCATION: Non-Exempt full-time or part-time position covered by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) Rapid City Food Pantry or Sioux Falls Food Pantry DEPARTMENT: Operations REPORTS TO: Pantry Manager JOB SUMMARY The pantry associate position is responsible for all receptionist duties, guides clients through the pantry program, and enters all client data into the reporting software. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Welcomes and processes all clients and greets all visitors. Answers phones courteously and provides helpful information as needed. Stocks and organizes pantry shelves and inventory. Guides clients through the pantry program. Enters all data into reporting software and creates reports. Maintains all files, cards, and other documents. Provides direction to volunteers, as necessary. Maintains and cleans pantry area. Practices food safety standards. Other projects as assigned. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Heavy Work: Heavy work involves lifting approximately 100 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing 50 pounds. If someone can do heavy work, it is also determined that they can also do sedentary, light, and medium work. QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of relevant experience in customer service and data management is required, along with skills in Microsoft Office.
