Nomination for the Alumni Hall of Distinction
The Alumni Hall of Distinction is designed to recognize Plain Local Schools Alumni and
other organizations who have distinguished themselves and have exemplified the
education and moral values that is respected by their community and school system.
To be considered for this honor, nominees must meet the eligibility requirements as
defined by the Plain Local Schools Alumni Association. Those selected into the Hall of
Distinction will be memorialized with a permanent likeness and inscriptions at GlenOak
High School.

Application Guidelines
a. Nominations and supporting material must be in writing to the Plain Local
Schools Alumni Association.
1. Application packets are available at Plain Local Schools
Administration Building or at the Foundation / Alumni page at
www.plainlocal.org
2. If you are unable to pick up a packet, call 330-491-3870, and
one will be mailed to you.
B.
To qualify for induction in a particular year, nominations must be
received no later than March 1, 2009 for induction in September 2009.
C. A selection made up of association members and members of the civic
and business community shall review applications and make a final
decision. Final decisions remain with Plain Local Alumni Association.
D. All persons making nominations will be informed of the final selections.
Eligibility requirements
A. The alumni must be a graduate of either Middlebranch,
Glenwood, Oakwood or GlenOak high schools prior to
1999.
B. Non graduates may be nominated based on their association
or contributions to the history and welfare of the Plain
Local School District.
C. The nominee shall have distinguished himself/herself in
one or more the following areas:
1. (Emphasis) Community Contribution
2. Professional Accomplishments
3. Education
4. Political Leadership
5. Athletic Endeavors
6. Humanitarian Contributions
7. Other Accomplishments

important as past nominations have been hurt due to lack of information.
