Granville P. Meade Scholarship - $2,000/per year March 5, 2010

This scholarship provides financial assistance to students who have achieved academically, but who are financially unable to attend college. Granville Meade scholars will be selected based upon financial need and merit. Therefore, applicants will need to demonstrate academic achievement, extracurricular activities, good character as determined by letters of recommendation, and financial need. Please see Mrs. Dean for an application. All completed applications must be turned in to Mrs. Dean by March 5, 2010.

VA Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Capital One - $5,000 March 12, 2010

This scholarship is intended for graduating Latino students who demonstrate leadership, community involvement, academic excellence, and extracurricular activities. See Mrs. Dean for an application.

MaxPreps Citizen Athlete Program – up to $25,000 March 12, 2010

The MaxPreps Citizen Athlete Award is given to high school student athletes who are model citizens in all areas of life: community service, academics, athletics and school involvement.

MaxPreps and the Army National Guard have joined forces to make sure that these great citizens are recognized and rewarded for their good works by awarding $25,000 to the top five young men and top five young women in the country. Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship - $1,500 March 26, 2010

This scholarship provides financial assistance to students who have achieved academically and show promise of continued outstanding academic achievement. Please see Mrs. Dean for an application. All completed applications must be turned in to Mrs. Dean by March 26, 2010.

ETSU Basler Incentive Scholarship – up to $13,000 March 31, 2010

Scholarship is for a student who is interested in the Engineering Technology program at ETSU.

Washington County Retired Teachers Association April 1, 2010

Any student who plans to enter the field of education is eligible to apply. See Mrs. Dean in guidance for an application. All completed applications must be turned in to Mrs. Dean by the deadline.

Elizabeth “Jackie” Musser Scholarship - $1,000

April 1, 2010

Criteria: 3.0 GPA; be an active member of a Christian church in Washington County, VA; be nominated by letter from your Pastor, Christian Education director, or Youth Minister; and write a 500 or more word essay on “What My Church Means to Me.” A completed application must be submitted with the above information. The Intermarkets-Lucido Journalism Scholarship - $5,000 April 2, 2010

Virginia Athletic Trainers Association - $1,000 April 3, 2010
