Course Selection Winter Qtr. 2011
For the 2010 / 2011 Academic year, the NewBridge Cleveland Youth Program offers four arts studios. Courses meet on
either Mondays and Wednesdays, or Tuesdays and Thursday.
o Students enroll in one, and only one, course per quarter.
o Students can only attend on the M/W or T/Th track.
o Brand new students that have never attend NewBridge Cleveland before, are the only students that have the
option of switching courses within the first 2 weeks of the quarter. There will be no switching after the end of the
second week of the quarter.
Ceramics
Basic foundational work using a potter’s wheel, hand building, and slab-mold construction to create one-of-a-kind wares.
Digital Arts
A digital imaging program, to learn basic beginner graphic and web designs, animation, and video editing.
Music Mixing and Production
Students are introduced to the world of digital recording and mixing through a course designed by Gordon “The
Commissioner” Williams, a multi Grammy award winning professional with 25 years in the industry.
Photography
A basic, introductory course that introduces students to techniques of compositions, mechanics of the camera, and the
elements and principals of design to create striking visual images with digital SLR cameras.
